Sleep Problems And Nasal Problems During Pregnancy



Sleep problems during pregnancy


It is common in pregnancy feeling tired even after you have had lots of sleep. Many pregnant women feel they are exhausted during the first trimester. But this is quite normal. This is your body's way of telling that you need more rest.

During the
second trimester, your tiredness is usually replaced with a feeling of energy and well being. But during the third trimester, your exhaustion sets in again as you get larger and sleeping becomes more difficult. Your baby's movements, bathroom trips, and an increases level of your body's metabolism may interrupt or disturb your sleep. Leg cramping can also interfere with your sleep at night.

Try doing the below sleeping position in pregnancy:
  • Lie on your left side and use pillows for support such as behind your back, between your knees, and under your tummy.
  • Practice good sleep habits such as going to bed and waking up at the same time every day and use your bed only for sleep and sex and nothing else and try going to bed a little earlier.
  • Try to nap if you cannot get enough sleep at night.
  • Drink the fluids you need in the day so that you can take less before going to bed.
Nasal Problems and nose bleeding during pregnancy



Nasal stuffiness and nosebleeds are very common during pregnancy. They are caused due to increased amount of blood in your body and hormones affect on the tissues of your nose.


Try doing the below to stop nose bleeding during pegnancy
  • Try to blow your nose very gently.
  • Drink lots of fluids and use a cool mist humidifier.
  • To stop a nosebleed, try to squeeze your nose between your thumb and forefinger for few minutes.
